Simply download the Ventrilo program, install; then configure with the following server information: host: vent1.light-speed.com port: 8875 ROPA members may log on and converse with each other. There are no time limits - the cost of the server does not increase with usage. The only limitation is the number of simultaneous connections, which is currently 10 users, at no cost to ROPA (this service is donated by the webmaster). Private channels can be made available on request - you might use one for your orchestra committee conference calls. For best results, a headset is recommended, but any sound setup with a microphone ought to work. A regular phone headset will not work: you'll need a computer headset with either USB or two 1/8" jacks to hook into your computer sound interface.
